Students in Bioimaging Working Group

Overview

The Students in Bioimaging Working Group aims to equip and support students in the African bioimaging community by fostering their professional development, building essential technical knowledge, and creating a collaborative peer network.

This working group is a volunteer-driven community of postgraduate researchers, academic staff, and students passionate about bioimaging who identify key development needs within the student community and create targeted initiatives to address them. The first such program is the Mentorship Pilot Programme

ABIC Student Working Group Mentorship Pilot Programme

In an effort to provide students with career and technical support as they navigate early career bioimaging/microscopy, the Students in Bioimaging Working Group has developed the Mentorship Pilot Programme.

This programme invited experienced researchers, imaging scientists, core facility staff, PI's and many other members of the bioimaging community to create a career and mentorship profile that will allow students in the bioimaging community to apply for their preferred mentor.
